How to make a miserable bastard even more miserable

Just back from the game and a quick entry before I get off to Equal Chance.

Hmm, where to start. Well I thought we were pretty unlucky in the first half.

I have not seen any replays or anything so this was my impressions how I saw it at the game.

We were murdered in the first 10 minutes…settled down…Henry was unlucky with the shot that hit the post…Van Persie scored a perfectly good goal. I thought it was at the game as I was right in line with it and a mate on the phone confirmed this. Deja Vous from the game at Stamford Bridge. When things are going against you eh?

Referee Styles then showed extreme cowardice in allowing Essien to stay on the field for 3 pretty serious offences…does my flippancy and possible paranoia in a recent entry seem so stupid now? It would appear that he really is above the law. Thankfully EUFA have the balls that the Premier League does not have. Astonishing!

I have however heard that in the first incident, which looked like a deliberate elbow, Lauren went down clutching his face despite being elbowed in his chest. If this is the case he is a cheating piece of shit and should be punished. I do not care what colour shirt or badge a player wears I detest cheats…talking of which doesn’t Drogba go down very easily for such a big guy? Fuck he spends more time on the deck than Frank Bruno! I would like to see the video of the Lauren thing though. Regardless of this I am amazed how Essien stayed on the pitch. Patrick must be incredulous sitting in Italy. He never had a fraction of the leniency being shown to the Ghanaian on a seemingly weekly basis.

I thought that their first goal looked like it was possibly offside also, but Robben is so quick I could easily have been wrong. It was however as a result of a centre half, Kolo, playing out of position and, in turn, being out of position. A trifle unfortunate and although I thought there was no way we deserved to be behind at the break, bad luck, cowardly refereeing and a major error (or two?) by the lino contrived to decide otherwise.

Surely it can only be a matter of time before video evidence is introduced. How much longer can FIFA resist? What the fuck are they afraid of? Buggered if I know but I am starting to think that there is no way I will ever 'come back' to football, after my, already agreed, sabbatical next season, (and beyond) until it is.

The second half however was a different kettle of fish. Although we huffed and puffed I felt we rarely threatened and were quite simply not good enough. Although the second goal was, for the second week running as a result of having a right footed player at left back it had become irrelevant by then. Lauren was facing the wrong way and trod on the ball when off balance. A good finish by Cole but had the ‘other Cole’ or Clichy been there one suspects the chance would not even have arisen.

The problems for the Arse seems to be deeper rooted though, and I am not sure if there is a quick fix to it. Le Boss does not have a policy of buying in the transfer window so it looks like we are stuck with what we have.

I was also disappointed with the formation today too. Although we won the FA Cup Final with the same tactics we only did so because we were arsehole lucky. Surely Wenger must have known this? I am becoming increasingly worried he is losing the plot in several areas.

Similarly, the two benches also tell the story. We bring on ‘Quincy Awusu Circus Act’…even Ronaldo learnt that step-overs alone do not get you anywhere… and they have the likes of Sean Wright-Phillips who they do not even want but have bought just to stop him going to another club. It is going to get worse too. They will not think twice about continuing this policy of stockpiling players they do not even want and not think twice about it. After all their owner has a bottomless pit of money from his rape of the assets of the Russian people.

I don’t know what the future holds but the manager must be given money to spend, which despite the noises coming from the boardroom, I am not sure he really has.

It could have been so different in the first half but in the final analysis we were pretty soundly beaten and just not good enough.

Am I the only one who thought Henry was just not at it and, not for the first time, played like a man who is on his way? Part of me says ‘who can blame him’, as it is clear we have made scant, if any, attempts to strengthen the squad to compete with the ‘Cheque Book Champions’, and for that matter even Manure, Liverpool or, to a lesser extent, Tottscum. However another part of me says that ‘my captain’ should show me more commitment and umph than I saw today. Perhaps we have become so used to his heroics that too much is expected of him, who knows? I did think he was poor today though and I become increasingly pessimistic that he will be here next season with each passing game 8-( . I would criticise other players for playing poorly so why not Titi. I am used to skippers like TA and Patrick so maybe I am being harsh. I was not happy with him today, although he was far from the only one he is the one you look to as a talisman.

A disappointing end to a really shitty weekend blog buddies. Still it’s fucking Xmas in 7 days so next weekend will be worse…would any of you like me to visit your children dressed as Santa this week?

A miserable fucker who gets even more miserable eh?
